Prof. Marco Aurélio Amaral Henriques, Associate Researcher at CPE SMARTNESS, participated in the Panel of Experts on Quantum Technologies sponsored by the Núcleo de Estudos Estratégicos do Comando Militar do Sudeste (NEE/CMSE) on September 26th, 2023, in São Paulo.
The topic of the panel was “Tecnologias Quânticas: estado da arte e possibilidades de aplicação em Defesa Nacional”, and included civilian and military experts, as well as lectures by professors from UNICAMP, USP and IME.
Prof. Marco presented a lecture focusing on the impacts of a cryptographically relevant quantum computer on the security of today’s sensitive communications, as well as the possibilities for mitigating such effects.
