The European Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (EU SNS JU) has officially launched the PROSPERO project, an international research initiative focused on defining key architectures and technological pillars for 6G communication networks.

Attendees of IEEE NetSoft 2026 visited the headquarters of BENOCS in Berlin for an exclusive industry-academia exchange, featuring a dedicated round table and a technical presentation on the research activities of the SMARTNESS Research Center.

SMARTNESS expanded its international presence through two important scientific dissemination and academic collaboration activities carried out by researcher Tariqul Islam, a PhD student and member of the project.

The award-winning paper, entitled “Intrusion Detection in DNS Traffic Using Neural Networks and Explainability,” proposes an intrusion detection system for DNS traffic capable of identifying threats such as malware, phishing, and spam using neural networks.
