Upon SMARTNESS Executive Committee approval, the SMARTNESS Y1 Scientific Report was submitted to FAPESP for evaluation.
The document provides a comprehensive overview of the first year progress of the SMARTNESS ERC project, focusing on scientific aspects and adhering to FAPESP guidelines for annual reports. It includes a summary of the project’s conception, objectives, and results. The core part of the report details achievements, engineering research, and activities within each Work Package and Research Strand. Institutional support, upcoming activity plans, participation in scientific events, publications, scholarship reports, abbreviations, and bibliography are also outlined, with technical details available in referenced scientific publications.
In addition to the main Scientific Report (RC), three additional reports were submitted to cover: Technology Transfer (TT), Education and Dissemination of Knowledge (EDK), and Management (GEO).
On April 12th, Prof. Rothenberg presented an executive summary of the reports for SMARTNESS members, followed by a fruitful discussion on results and next steps.
