On May 15, the SMARTNESS Engineering Research Center welcomed a delegation from ANATEL-CEADI (Center for Advanced Studies in Digital Communications and Technological Innovation of the National Telecommunications Agency). The visit was led by Eng. João Marcelo Mello da Silva Head of the Technical Advisory Office at ANATEL-CEADI.
The delegation was received by Dr. Eduardo Sartori, SMARTNESS Technology Transfer Manager, who opened the meeting with an overview of the center’s main research activities and potential avenues for scientific and technological cooperation. The visit continued with a tour of the SMARTNESS laboratories, where ongoing projects were presented.
Eng. João Marcelo then introduced the structure and current initiatives of CEADI, highlighting opportunities for partnerships in telecommunications research and development. These include the promotion of targeted research projects and engagement in national and international standardization processes.
The meeting marked an important step toward strengthening ties between ANATEL and SMARTNESS, fostering collaboration that bridges academic research and public policy in the field of digital communications and innovation in Brazil.
