On September 10, 2025, the UNICAMP hosted the Post-Docs Meeting on Research Management. This event was designed to spark dialogue, share experiences, and demonstrate the best research management practices.
One of the event’s highlights was the Engineering Research Center SMARTNESS, which was recognized by UNICAMP’s Grant Office as a success story. Representing the center was Prof. Eduardo Sartori , the technology transfer manager. He offered an insider’s view of SMARTNESS’s first year, describing how the center rapidly built infrastructure, implemented key initiatives, and positioned itself at the forefront of technology transfer.
He emphasized two major achievements: launching the 5G Technology Reference Laboratory, which provides state-of-the-art resources for experimentation and innovation, and promoting technology standardization practices. This is a critical step toward enabling the broader adoption and interoperability of emerging technologies.
The meeting also featured presentations from other leading UNICAMP research centers.
