SMARTNESS had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Antoni Ivanov and Dr. Atanas Vlahov from the Technical University of Sofia (TU-Sofia, Bulgaria) during their visit to Brazil on October 27th, 2025, as part of ongoing collaborations with Brazilian universities.
During their visit to the SMARTNESS Lab and SMARTNESS Studio 5G, the researchers engaged in technical discussions and explored opportunities for collaboration in O-RAN and 5G systems developed at Sofia Tech Park — areas that are strongly aligned with the research and innovation activities conducted at SMARTNESS.
This visit further strengthens the connection between European and Brazilian 5G innovation ecosystems, fostering joint advancements in next-generation network technologies and reinforcing the global impact of collaborative research.
