SMARTNESS welcomed, on March 16, a delegation from FIIS-UNI (Facultad de Ingeniería Industrial y de Sistemas at Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería – Peru), reinforcing its commitment to internationalization and to strengthening strategic partnerships in research, innovation, and talent development.
During the visit, the group was received by the Director of FEEC Unicamp, Hugo Enrique Hernández Figueroa, and had the opportunity to explore the Center’s laboratory infrastructure. The delegation attended live demonstrations showcasing advanced robotics applications and immersive experiences enabled by 5G connectivity.
The agenda also included technical discussions on Artificial Intelligence with Professors Fernando Von Zuben and João Marcos Romano. The meeting fostered an exchange of perspectives on ongoing research, scientific challenges, and opportunities for collaboration through joint projects, academic exchange, and the development of highly qualified human resources.
The visit of FIIS-UNI marks another important step in expanding SMARTNESS’s international network, strengthening connections with Latin American institutions and broadening opportunities for high-impact scientific collaboration.
