UNICAMP demonstrates its academic relevance by featuring a total of 106 researchers in the ranking, developed by the scientific publisher Elsevier in collaboration with a specialized team from Stanford University in the United States.
This figure represents an increase of 13.9% compared to the assessment released in 2024. The study’s methodology is based on the analysis of scientific publications indexed in the Scopus database, utilizing a set of standardized citation indicators to measure research impact.
Globally, Brazil accounts for 1,461 listed researchers, corresponding to 0.6% of the world total, ranking 24th overall. Approximately 577 names are located in the state of São Paulo, representing around 40% of the national total.
