In a guest lecture for the cutting-edge computing domain, SMARTNESS associate researcher Professor Eduardo Cerqueira from UFPA (Federal University of Pará) took center stage as he delivered a captivating lecture. The lecture, held at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC) at UNICAMP, was an enlightening exploration into the realm of Immersive Communications within the context of 6G systems. Professor Cerqueira's presentation specifically shed light on the exciting frontier of Holographic-Type Communications (HTC).

This year, the 41st edition of the SBRC hosted the SMARTNESS/5G Dataset Challenge Hackathon, providing teams with a platform to develop innovative solutions and gain valuable insights through analyzing datasets provided by the organizing committee. The SMARTNESS Hackathon was hosted at SBRC 2023 on 05/25/2023, and its theme was “Developing solutions and insights using machine learning on data from 5G networks in Brazil”.

INTRIG participated in the 41st Simpósio Brasileiro de Redes de Computadores e Sistemas Distribuídos, presenting posters, hosting a workshop, and organizing the Hackathon Smartness/5G Dataset Challenge.
