On November 14, Prof. Luiz Bittencourt hosted Prof. Fredrik Heintz and PhD student Amath Sow from Linköping University, Sweden, at UNICAMP's Instituto de Computação. Joined by representatives from Ericsson Research Brazil, UFABC, and UNICAMP students, the meeting explored drone collision avoidance and route planning, delivery scenarios, and video streaming.
SMARTNESS 2030 actively participated in the 2024 IEEE NFV-SDN conference in Natal, Brazil, presenting papers, demos, and tutorials on topics from ECMP routing resilience to cloud gaming traffic classification, winning multiple awards, including Best Demo and Best PhD Symposium. Keynote presentations and tutorials further highlighted the use of programmable infrastructures in 6G research.
