On September 3rd, SMARTNESS received two technical visits at its main lab at FEEC/UNICAMP. During the morning, we had the honor of receiving a delegation of representatives from Ericsson Research, led by Dr. Magnus Frodigh - VP and Head of Ericsson Research. Presentations and discussions touched the vision of 6G and the onvoing research activities. In the afternoon, SMARTNESS received the visit of the UFPA research group led by Prof. Aldebaro. Opportunities of collaboration around joint research interests were discussed, resulting in impact actions ahead.

New publication in ACM Special Interest Group on Data Communication (ACM SIGCOMM) held in Sydney, Australia, August 4 - 8, 2024.

On July 9th and 10th, professors and researchers of the FAPESP PORVIR-5G thematic project visited the headquarters of SMARTNESS at the LCA laboratory of FEEC/UNICAMP.

In July 2024, Fabricio Rodriguez successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled “Low-latency in-network applications through programmable data planes”, under the guidance of Professor Christian Esteve Rothenberg.
