On February 25, Prof. Christian Rothenberg (Director of SMARTNESS) and Dr. Eduardo Sartori (Technology Transfer Manager at SMARTNESS) attended the inauguration of Ericsson’s Open Innovation Lab in Indaiatuba, São Paulo. This new Ericsson laboratory is dedicated to research collaborations in 5G, automation, AI, and virtual reality. On the occasion, it was possible to visit the new laboratory and see several examples of developments by Ericsson and its partners in the areas addressed.
The main focus of Ericsson’s Open Innovation Lab is to build “a collaborative ecosystem to create incredible and unimaginable solutions through 5G. It has been an amazing journey to be part of this lab and contribute to technological advancements”.
The Ericsson Laboratory is an initiative to attract interested parties from public and private institutions to establish partnerships and research on the 5G technology application in the most diverse segments. As could not be otherwise, SMARTNESS is already part of this partnership, collaborating in the advancement of advanced 5G communications network technologies, and providing support for the development of the future 6G network.
